As a native of Springfield, South Dakota, I believe in the old adage of Midwestern work ethic, which means we will not stop until the job is filled or completed. I feel very fortunate to be able to work in an industry that offers such challenges day after day.

Interests/Hobbies/Community Involvement:

 I am a graduate from the University of Sioux Falls and I reside in the great little community of Dell Rapids (just 12 minutes north of Sioux Falls) with my wife Stephanie and three young children. We are actively involved with St. Mary school and Church activities.  I have also been honored to be quoted in the USA Today, MSNBC, the Wall Street Journal, Agri Insights and various business journals.

We want to learn and understand what opportunities would be most beneficial to the candidates that we work with. It comes down to long lasting relationships and representing the companies that top performers want to work for. Understanding our client’s needs inside and out, then delivering with the results and service they deserve. A native of Spearfish SD, I graduated from Mount Marty College in Yankton, with a BA in Business Administration. My professional career started in banking and led me to the exciting world of recruiting. I am a board member of Dell Rapids Chamber of Commerce and also a member of Synergy in Sioux Falls. I participate in the World Vision organization and enjoy volunteering and getting involved wherever I can.

When out of the office, I surround myself with family and friends. I enjoy playing amateur baseball for the Dell Rapids Mudcats and getting back to the Black Hills to hunt and fish whenever possible. Notre Dame football is an addiction that I have been working on but Saturdays in the fall are all about the Irish.

Life Outside of ERC, Inc.

Most of my free time is spent with family and friends or whatever kind of project I have going on. Springfield has one of the best 9 hole golf courses in the state and I am usually out swinging away.

What intrigued you about the Staffing Profession?

My goal is to assist clients in developing a team of hardworking, committed employees. I am a graduate of the U of South Dakota with a BS degree in Psychology. I have lived most of my life in small town, Springfield SD, and plan to spend my life there. Growing up in a small town in the Midwest has influenced me to be a positive and compassionate person with strong family ties. It has also created my passion for the outdoors and everything in it. When not spending time with my family, I am an avid hunter and also enjoy fishing, golfing, and sporting events.

Ashley Kurtenbach is the Operations Manager of ERC, Inc. She is a graduate of National American University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies. Ashley is exclusively responsible for overseeing the daily operations and systems at ERC. Her robust attention to detail and organizational talent suits multiple roles within the operational team. Ashley plays a vital role in the implementation of operational programs and reporting systems for ERC.

Originally from Rock Valley, Iowa and a graduate of Hull Western Christian High School, Ashley is a true Midwestern girl with a Dutch heritage that produces a strong work ethic and a drive for success. In her free time she is a member of the dance team for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, NBA-Development League. About Me:

I spent most of my life living in South Dakota. I grew up in Burke, SD, lived for a time in Dupree, SD and have spent the last 19 years in Springfield. My wife Jolene and I have been married for over 23 years and have 2 college aged children.

I have worked in the human services and construction and building trades fields. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling and have spent the past 19 years working with troubled youth in a residential setting.

About Me:

About Me:

I grew up on a lake in Redfield, SD. My mother and father have been married for 38 years, and work side-by-side at American Family Insurance for the last 32 years. I have one sister who is married and works for a University in Minneapolis, MN.   I graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with a BA in Marketing and Management. While I was in college I played four years of football, and was able to win two NAIA National Football Championships. Michaella is a graduate of Cottey College, where her love of animals persuaded her to obtain an Associate Degree in Biological Science. When she's not working, Michaella enjoys lounging with her husband and children outside or at the park. She is an active volunteer at church and teaches young students about their faith, and a proud member of the Dell Rapids PEO Chapter.
