Agronomy Operations Manager
SUMMARY: The individual filling this position will work, in conjunction with the Agronomy Sales Manager, to develop and implement agronomy operation strategies and goals for the agronomy department of the Cooperative in a manner that will improve the department efficiencies, achieve the company’s sales and profitability goals and provide exceptional customer service. This position is also responsible for oversight of this location to ensure adequate staffing to achieve excellent customer service while coordinating employee needs with other departments & locations to ensure excellent customer service across the entire company.
Business Activities
- Determine location staffing needs based on seasonal needs and business volume.
- Supervise Daily Agronomy Operations Staff to insure customer expectations are met in regards to product, service and equipment availability and reliability.
- Insure agronomy operations meet and/or exceed all Federal and State Regulatory and Environmental rules and regulations.
- Coordinate receipt of necessary quantities of agronomy products through use of Purchase Orders.
- Implement inventory controls to insure adequate supplies of agronomy products while controlling inventory costs.
- Work in conjunction with General Manager to utilize proper hedging and purchasing controls to meet company policies for risk management.
- Develop and Follow Agronomy Department Monthly and Annual Budgets to insure department profitability.
- Coordinate with General Manager Short and Long Term Fixed Asset Budget to meet Department Equipment Needs.
- Attend and Participate in Agronomy Committee Meetings of Board of Directors.
- Insure proper and correct billing of all agronomy products and services on daily basis.
- Attend safety, product and any other meetings assigned by Management.
- Salary: $75,000 - 80,000
