THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
- Responsible for developing the tax department.
- Be involved in all areas of tax.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Assist in federal and state audits.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.
- Support budget and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- The ideal candidate would possess 3+ years of experience in public accounting and a background in audit/tax.
- Advanced degree a plus.
- CPA certification.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work overtime in busy months.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
