THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
- Reports to the Director of Operations.
- Oversees a shipping team across multiple buildings, ensuring proper staffing, training, development, and a collaborative work environment aligned with company values.
- Coordinates shipping for product lines, aligning delivery schedules with production timelines, and managing the hardware department to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.
- Manages relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers, negotiates rates, monitors performance, and ensures seamless integration with internal operations.
- Ensures all shipping activities meet regulatory requirements, including DOT compliance, and maintains accurate documentation.
- Works closely with customer service to optimize freight planning, address shipping issues, communicate delivery updates, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Tracks logistics KPIs, monitors budget and cost savings, and uses data to improve staffing and shipping processes for better on-time performance and quality.
- Collaborates with the Maintenance Manager to ensure logistics vehicles and equipment are properly maintained through preventive schedules.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ Years Experience in Shipping and Logistics Management.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software and tools.
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
