Zoom Interview Tips

Be familiar with the App.

Practice with friends or family ahead of time.

• Check lighting, where are you looking, video/audio good, smiling enough or too much?
• We recommend practicing with Zoom for phone and in-person interviews as well.

Background – should be clean and professional.

Position, top of your head should be around the top 2/3 of the screen.

Where to look? Look at the camera when you are talking, look at the person on your screen when they are talking.

Use a cheat sheet so you can occasionally reference and remind yourself of questions you have, or something you wasn’t to talk about.

Zoom profile should always be professional.

Close other programs on your computer, to minimize interference

Dress appropriately, dress as you would for a face-to-face interview.
